New Handmade Watercolor Note Cards with Stripes

I am super-excited to introduce my new watercolor cards to you! I've had a small line of watercolor cards in the shop for a while, but these new, striped cards are kind of a big deal to me.

Color has always been my #1 inspiration for a new design, and that's what I love about these cards - they're pure color. For now, they come in a peachy/tangerine color; mint green; navy blue; and mustard yellow.

I made a boxed set of four with four white envelopes, which comes already packaged with pretty washi tape - all set and ready to go for gift giving:

I also couldn't help decorating a few different designs - here are some single cards meant for love letters, notes to friends, and family:

The first is a navy blue card with "all I need is you smiling" in silver ink, with silver x's and dashes, and a silver arrow. The saying is a piece of a lyric from the AWOLNATION song, "all I need".

This one is my favorite - the peachy-tangerine watercolor card with gold accents. "There is nothing better than being with you" is a Duran Duran lyric from their 2004 song, "Nice". The gilded text and polka dot borders are hand-drawn.

Finally, this mustard yellow card features "the sweet, simple things in life". This is the most decorated of the bunch, with black ink triangles, ^'s, and tiny dots.

I went with colors that felt like summer to me, so I'd love to know: what colors would you like to see? I seriously want opinions! Which color should I paint next?

  1. Lovely! I like the mustard color....very happy. May I suggest a vibrant red with gold accents...kinda Indian summer in feeling.
    Happy Weekend :)
